Use case
Timed forms for Google Classroom
Your assignments already flow through Google Classroom. Add Form Timer to the form before you post it, and every student gets a timed, tracked assessment from the same link.
Nothing changes about how you assign
Configure the timer on your Google Form, then attach the form to a Classroom assignment exactly as you always have. Students click through from Classroom and the countdown is simply there, at the top of the form.
Fair conditions across every section
Teaching three sections of the same course? Each student gets the same duration regardless of which period they attend, and start dates let you open the assessment for each section at its own class time.
Deadlines that enforce themselves
Classroom due dates are labels; students can still submit a Google Form after them. Add a Form Timer end date and the form genuinely closes, so the due date on the assignment and the behavior of the form finally agree.
Grade with the timing next to the score
Completion times land in the response Sheet alongside the answers. When you grade, you can see that one student finished the 40-minute test in six minutes and another submitted at the last second, context that raw scores never show.
Works with school Google accounts
Form Timer is a Google Workspace Marketplace add-on, so it works with Google Workspace for Education accounts and respects your domain setup. Students need nothing beyond the Classroom access they already have.
